Family Roses

These photos are from a rose bush, originally started from one planted by Tom's great-Grandfather - approximately 100 years ago. Unfortunately we have had a bit of rain (like everyone else) so a lot of the flowers have fallen. From what I remember they flower for a long time. Tom's grandfather calls this "7-Sisters", but I don't know if that is the name or not.

Oooh that's lovely! Those flowers are just gorgeous, and so many blooming at once. Isn't it great to have a plant with a personal family history? I have a jasmine that came over from Sicily with my GreatGrandma Zaccone, it has yet to bloom since I've had this start of it, I'm not giving up though!

Oh envy envy envy....our garden is SO shady that even if I bought semi-shade roses they'd not grow.... I can smell them here in Camden. What a treasure!

Cheers, Sarah

I love the soft, pale color of the roses. Beautiful.

I love that beautiful shell pink! Are they fragrant?
